The program began with the "Loving Meals and Cultural Exchange" event at Suoi Giang Primary and Secondary School, creating memorable and meaningful moments for the local community. Over 900 students were served nutritious meals prepared by more than 100 Prudential volunteers. Following the meal, students and volunteers joined in cultural activities, traditional games, and community interactions, strengthening bonds and promoting intercultural solidarity.
The vice president of the Vietnam Digital Communications Association emphasized: "Each meal reflected the care and responsibility of participating organizations and businesses. In the aftermath of severe flood damage in the commune, the initiative aims to contribute to sustainable development, improving both living conditions and learning environments for local teachers and students."

Not limited to material support, the program also provided foundational knowledge through financial education via the Cha-Ching curriculum, designed for children aged 7 to 12. This program introduces four key concepts: Earning, Saving, Spending, and Giving, helping students develop an understanding of the value of money and a sense of responsibility toward the community.
In parallel, students received guidance on personal hygiene, safe water usage, and basic life skills, contributing to healthier lifestyles and improved school health standards.

The event took place at Suoi Giang Primary and Secondary School
From November 1 to 7, 2025, PRU Volunteering conducted on-site surveys and infrastructure upgrades across multiple schools and residential areas in Van Chan, including: renovating school-standard restrooms, building digital libraries and playgrounds, repairing fences and schoolyards, and installing street lighting in local communities. The total support amounted to USD 84,000 (approximately VND 2.1 billion), directly benefiting 1,862 people, including 1,060 studentsand 802 households, of which 63 were low-income families. All initiatives were implemented in compliance with legal regulations and in close coordination with local authorities to ensure long-term impact and community consensus.
PRU Volunteering, launched in 2012 by the Prudence Foundation, is a community initiative connecting Prudential employees across Asia in volunteer activities. Each year, the program engages 70–80 international volunteers to implement sustainable development projects and post-disaster recovery efforts.
In 2025, Vietnam was chosen as the host country, with activities centered in Van Chan Commune, Lao Cai Province– an area severely affected by Typhoon Yagi in 2024, leaving significant damage to educational and residential infrastructure. Notably, 98% of students in the area belong to ethnic minority groups, with limited access to expanded educational programs and international cultural exchange opportunities.

The presence of PRU Volunteering in the commune underscores a clear commitment from Prudential and its partners to support local residents in overcoming challenges, responding to climate change, and working toward a more sustainable future.
A representative from the Vietnam Digital Communications Association highlighted that PRU Volunteering is not merely a charitable activity, but a bridge connecting businesses and communities, serving as a model of corporate social responsibility aligned with national sustainable development goals.
The program also provided an opportunity to foster cultural exchange, share experiences, and strengthen connectionsbetween international volunteers and local residents, thereby creating lasting humanistic values and a more cohesive, resilient community.
The PRU Volunteering 2025 program officially kicked off with a series of meaningful and practical activities in Van Chan Commune, Lao Cai Province, addressing post-disaster recovery efforts and supporting development in the remote region.
